Chiba Mamoru is a college student who hangs around the Crown Arcade, where Usagi and her friends often meet. Whenever he sees Usagi, he teases and sometimes even mocks her, which she dislikes him for.However, he is also the Tuxedo Kamen, into which he is able to transform whenever Sailormoon is in trouble. Usagi happens to have a crush on Tuxedo Kamen. This she developed when she first met Tuxedo Kamen. He had come to help her while she was saving Naru.
Tuxedo Kamen does not go through any power-ups. However, he does learn that he was Prince Endymion of the Earth Kingdom in the past, and that he and Princess Serenity had been very deeply in love. He also discovers that he will become King Endymion of Crystal Tokyo in the upcoming future. His wife will be Neo-Queen Serenity, and they shall have a daughter, Princess Lady Serenity.
Mamoru lives by himself in an apartment in Juubangai. He attends college at Azabu Institute of Technology. He has been an orphan since he lost his parents when he was six. In the car accident that took the lives of his parents, Mamoru lost his memory and did not remember anything before the accident. He remained in an orphanage until he was a teenager.
