Aino Minako learns that she is able to transform into a Sailor Senshi. She transformed into Sailorvenus ( she called herself Sailor V, which is the Sailor V game is named after). She was actually the first senshi to be found.She was found when she was 13 years old, in 7th grade. Artemis, her guardian cat, found her while she was performing a gymnastics routine. She ended up landing on top of Artemis, who then proceeded to run out of the gym. Throughout the rest of the day, Minako saw Artemis in various places. He was following her and observing her, which led him to be a little nervous about the future. However, she was the one he was looking for, so Artemis appeared in Minako's room and started explaining that she was a protector of Earth, the senshi of Venus. Minako thought that it was all a dream, until she saw Artemis again while she was at school. Artemis recognized the guy that she had a crush on, Higashi, as an agent for the Dark Agency (a small sector of the Dark Kingdom run by Danburite.) Minako was forced to battle her lover. She won and began her life as a senshi, Sailorvenus.
The other senshi learn about Sailorvenus when she saves them from Kunzite and Zoicite. Zoicite had been pretending to be Sailormoon in order to lure the senshi into a trap, so that the Dark Kingdom could get all the nijizuishou from the senshi and Tuxedo Kamen.
Minako enjoys being in the mall and being with her friends. She goes to school at Shibakouen Junior High and lives with her mother and father. Minako was never able to stay after school and be with friends because she was busy doing school work or practicing volleyball. Then, when she became Sailor V, she had no time to be with friends outside of school.She moved at least twice, going from Tokyo to England, and then back to Tokyo about a year later.
